I liked -- no, I loved Mony and Papa visiting! We had a lot of fun. My favorite thing we did while they were here was glamping at Warwick Castle.....actually no, my favorite thing was seeing them when they first got to base. My Mom is going to do a big post on their visit so you can watch for that later. We miss them a lot and wish they were still here.
After Mony and Papa left we were going to go to Legoland but Mom wasn't feeling good and it was going to rain so we went home. I didn't keep a diary of all that we did during the week but this is what I can remember:
Avery's teacher had a picnic with us at the park. She brought her dog Sammi. She is cute! We brought Sammi a squeaky soccer ball to play with. We had fun playing with her and Mrs. Kautz. Mrs. Kautz brought some yummy treats to share.
Friday we cleaned the church and had dinner with the Johnsons after. I played with the bunny most of the time. Our friends also came over during the day. Melissa came to visit teach Mom. It took a long time for them to actually get to the lesson. We put on some costumes for them and had them judge us.
Saturday was Averi's birthday party. It was at Fun 2 Play. I got a free slushie from one of the worker ladies for cleaning up the balls. We had fun and got really sweaty.
Sunday we went to church!
Monday we stayed home and I made a doctor's office. When Blake woke up this morning he said, "Allie Dr. open!" I said, "not yet!" I was still tired. The rest of the day we went with Mom visiting teaching and then she dropped us off at Kiera's house and her Mom took us to Monsters. We didn't want to leave!
Rainy day painting fun.

July 4, 2015
We went on a bike ride. I got too close to the wheel, fell off. I got a swollen lip, knee and elbow. When we got home we played outside. I took a nap in the hammock. Then when we came in I was typing this.

Avery, Dad & Blake went to church. Mom and I stayed home. I was embarrassed for people to see me and my swollen lip.
July 6, 2015
We shopped and shopped and shopped and shopped. In between shopping we went to a park in Kings Lynn. Then we came home and played outside. Mom and Dad worked on projects. We watched the Minions movie before going to bed.

Summer Break - Week 2
We haven't been up to a whole lot but I will quickly recap the little bit that we have done.
{Father's Day}
Derek was away for Father's Day so we tried to recreate our chalk drawing that we did a couple years ago.
We went to a movie with friends. We saw Inside Out, which I must say was a deep movie. It really makes you think and it was actually a good teaching opportunity to help teach the kids, especially Avery, about emotions and how we can control them. I wasn't completely sure she would understand but she did!
We settled into more of a routine that 2nd week. The girls love following it! I was happy to be able to sit down every day and get some school work in.

Playing POP!
It drizzled one evening and I told the kids to go out and play in it. Avery knocked on the door. She had made herself an umbrella.
We also went to High Lodge one day with friends. Just realizing that I didn't take any pictures. I did take a few videos of Blake on the zipline that were super cute.
Fast forward to this week. It has been a hot week with lots of beautiful sunshine! I am loving it!! The girls went to a church soccer camp and just had the best time. Always came home with big smiles on their faces. Then we would come home and get in the pool. I'm not going into much detail because for the rest of the summer our blog posts will be done by Allie! It is her summer writing assignment that I created and she loves the idea and is very excited about it. She's starting with this week and I think she decided she would do her posts on Saturdays or Sundays. So stay tuned!!
I will end this blog post with a pic of the kids in the pool. I find Blake quite disturbing in his European - esque swimsuit. I am getting rid of it pronto!! He found it quite amusing.

Happy Birthday, Allie!!! {9}
My 30th birthday didn't really bother me, but this.....THIS is getting to me! My baby girl is NINE!! This girl is amazing. She is beautiful inside and out. She is incredibly intelligent, has the BIGGEST heart. Always thinking of others and wanting to do good. She is such an example to me. I cannot tell you how many times she has said something to me that really made me think.....or rethink my thoughts or actions. She is wise beyond her years. She really can give some great advice and I often find myself asking her for it! She is my little bestie! :) She is virtuous and lovely and a faithful Daughter of God. She is the one that is always reminding us to say our prayers, read scriptures, etc.
There was one day where we came home from either school or soccer. I'm not really sure where, but both girls asked me why someone didn't have any kids. "Mom, she would be such a great Mom!" they said. I agreed and had to explain different situations. Some people just choose not to have kids, some may have complications and aren't able to, etc. "Mom we need to pray for her!" Allie said. So since about March/April the girls have been praying for this person every single night.....to be able to have a baby if this family so desires and for them to find comfort if they are having complications. She really is amazing. What 9 year old thinks of doing things like this?!? Her heart is so big! When they were having their yearbook signing at school there was someone that told Allie something along the lines of, 'I have never talked to you before but I always see you around school. I don't know why, but I always notice you. There is just something about you that draws my attention.' And then in her yearbook she wrote, "You are an amazing girl who is very very wise. Stay how you are!" So she has the strongest impressions on people without them even really knowing who she is. That says a lot about our Allison. She just radiates goodness!!!
We love our girl so very much! She is such a blessing in our lives. Happy Birthday, Allie Kat!!!

Friday night, Allie and her best friend Kiera had their birthday party. Kiera's birthday was a week before Allie's.
I think their favorite moment from the night was during the dice game. Kiera got called up first to roll the dice and she knocked Allie, Avery, Averi, Kaylee and Blake out! Then Allie rolled next and got Kiera out!! So funny! Blake ended up rolling and getting Emma, Jacob, Charlotte and Sariah out. And Nathan won the game! I just have to say, we are so thankful for church friends. Not a single friend from school came and so if it wouldn't have been for them it wouldn't have been much of a party.
I think they had a great time!

School's Out for the Summer!!
We have been so busy since school has been out! Lots of birthday parties. 3 last Saturday. Allie went to 2 of her classmates parties (Kai and Alana) and Avery went to one of her classmates parties (Cayden). Last night was Allie's b-day party (another post)......and now she is at a school's out for summer party. The rest of us stayed home because Avery isn't feeling all that well. I think maybe too much sugar over the course of the past couple of days. This may be a good thing though because she now doesn't want any sweets and we are getting ready to start weaning sugar out of our diets!
We also went to the Maurader Mele. I started taking this video too late. He was really getting into it.
We spent a full day in Norwich shopping with friends and just hanging out.
We also spent a full day with friends at BeWILDerwood.
Just a boring boat ride down the dismal dyke.
We have a hard time following rules.
The stars of the twirling show!
Blake thought he was hot stuff getting his face painted. I must have too as you'll see that the majority of the pictures are of my cute tiger cub!
Sky Maze Fun
Our daredevil, showing everyone how it's done.
He is such a brave boy! This slide is is a sheer drop (the picture is deceiving).
Success! We wore these boys out!!
Blake still as pretty as ever after getting (most of) the face paint off.
It has been a fun & exhausting week! We all agreed that it feels like the kids have been out of school a month instead of a week with all that we crammed in this past week. Hoping to slow it down this coming week and really get on a good routine. I put together a big chart and put it on the refrigerator. The girls were having a hard time on our busy days because we were deviating from the chart. They are their mother's daughter. :)
