Last Day of School
Friday was Allie's last day of school. She was NOT ready for it to be over! It was a very sad day for her and she gave me another scare. Remember how she never got off the bus on the first day of school ......well this time she got off the bus but she was sobbing uncontrollably! Luckily she wasn't hurt she was just sad and said she was going to miss her teacher, Mrs. Matz! What a sweetie, broke my heart!
It was a great year though. She ended out the school year with all A's and she had amazing teachers from both schools that obviously mean a great deal to her.
Hard to believe she'll be in the 2nd grade! Love you Allie Kat!!!

Last Soccer Game & a few other Pics
Today was Allie's last soccer game. Unfortunately, they lost......but Allie had a great game. The quarter she was goalie no one scored!
Avery's last soccer practice was earlier this week..........
We always tried to go early to her practice so they could play on the playground beforehand.

End of Year Party / Field Trip / Preschool Graduation
It's been a busy week! Last Thursday was Avery's end of year party. Myself and three other Mom's were in charge of it. We kept it low key and spent most of the time just playing at Columbian Park.
Today was super busy. It was Avery's Preschool Graduation and Allie's field trip. Allie really wanted me to go with her on her field trip so I wasn't able to go to Avery's Graduation. Luckily I had my Mom and Grandma to go help support her and take pictures.
Allie's field trip was also to Columbian Park

SOCCER!!!
Boy have we been busy this past month! Both Allie and Avery are playing soccer this spring and we are at the soccer field 5 days a week! Two practices and two games a week for Allie and one practice a week for Avery. It's been busy but so fun! I love watching them play and it helps the days go by faster.
Avery is playing at the Y and is just in an instructional league. She is going to be quite the athlete!
It's been rainy almost every practice so all I have so far are blurry pictures of her in the gym.
When Allie started soccer she had forgotten a lot from the previous season she played. So after the first practice she was pretty hard on herself saying she wasn't any good and wasn't sure if she wanted to play. She is very dedicated and stuck it out and has made such an improvement. The saying "practice makes perfect" really is true! This year she isn't playing with the YMCA, but a local rec league.......Greater Lafayette Regional Soccer Alliance (Derek and I coached a youth team on this league back in the day). A lot of her games have been cold, wet, and muddy. :( She's toughed it out though. They've one most of their games.....only lost one and tied one.

So cool that she's number 11. The same number that Derek and I had when we played soccer in high school

Allie has played goalie a few quarters. She hasn't let any balls get past her yet. It's quite nerve-wracking watching this!
it almost squeezed through her legs!
