Weekend Getaway ~ Day THREE

Today we spent the entire day at Warwick Castle. It is more of a theme park castle. Overpriced, very crowded, lots of things that you have to pay extra for, etc. The castle itself is very cool. We are glad we did it but don't intend to do it again unless a visitor really wants to go to it!


This picture is a little deceiving. It looks like we are the only ones there. It was actually taken at the end of the day when the crowds were thinning out. Plus, this is the outside of the castle.......most of the crowds were inside.

There were several shows throughout the day. We made it to all of them but one. The first we went to was the Firing of the Trebuchet.

The Birds of Prey show ended up being our favorite. The birds flew right over our heads! The owl was hilarious....she did not want to do what she was supposed to do.

The girls and I were able to go up in the Princess Tower where they were able to help pick out shoes, a shawl and a tiara for a Princess. We couldn't take pictures in the tower but before we went in they got to sign the Wish Book with their wishes.
