Beautiful Sunday

This weather is such a tease! We'll have nice weather for a couple of days and then it gets cold and rainy on us for a week. Yesterday was a nice change back to the good stuff........only to have wet weather again this week...and it's supposed to be pretty cold too, even a chance of snow! We made sure to get out yesterday evening and enjoy it while we could.

There was one thing that made my day pretty crappy though. Derek wants to EXTEND his deployment! I am not happy about it at all. It would be for at least another 3 months, if not longer. I don't really understand exactly because another 3 months would put him coming home the end of September but he said something about coming home in December. I'm so frustrated about it all I don't even want to talk about it. I just don't understand how anyone could ASK to be away from their family longer. He has his reasonings and if he wants to explain them he can.

Blake ~ 19 Months

My little buddy is getting so big! He had his 18 month well baby visit last month. Unfortunately I don't remember his stats......he was just at the Dr yesterday though and he weighs 23 lbs and is 32 inches. I found a growth chart calculator online and it says he's between 25 & 50% for height and 10-25% for weight.
He's starting to talk more. He is learning new words just about everyday although he doesn't usually use them unless we say it and he's repeating us.
He has two new teeth....which now makes a mouth full of them! He is also in Nursery now at church and doesn't like it one bit.
I can't really think of anything else that's new. He still loves balls and cars. Those are definitely his two favorite things.....besides being outside which we should be able to do a lot more of now that it's getting nicer out.

Easter 2013

We had our big Easter get together and egg hunt on Saturday. Thought the weather was supposed to be amazing, like sunny and in the 60's. It was overcast and definitely not in the 60's but still the best weather we've had in a while. Unfortunately I think being outside for so long a lot of us are getting sick from it. :(

Along with some candy in their eggs there were also Bunny Bucks. They then got to go to the Hop To It store that was set up in the garage and use their bucks to buy some fun stuff.

Before the party was over he was burning up with a fever and he had it all night and all day Sunday

There was a point, shortly after taking some medicine, where he wanted to get down and play with his new golf clubs from GG.

Spring Break 2013

For some reason I really missed being at the beach this Spring Break! Although I know with my three hooligans it wouldn't have been much of a break. We didn't do much at all this week and it was actually kind of nice to relax a little. We even got to sleep in an extra hour most days! We had planned on going to the Indianapolis Children's Museum and the local museum, Imagination Station but didn't end up doing either.

Our break started with Avery being sick with the flu. The doctor was a little concerned she might have pneumonia as well. So we took it easy Thursday-Sunday.

Monday brought the snow, 9 inches in fact! Crazy spring weather. We stayed in most of the day.

And had a little dance party.

And made mini bunny cakes.

And then delivered them to neighbors.

And we couldn't resist, we had to play in the snow for a little bit.

We had so much fun visiting cousins Tuesday. Alex & Abby moved here from Chicago not too long ago.

On Wednesday we roped GG into coming with us to Jump It. We were there for FOUR hours!

Thursday morning the girls woke up to a nice surprise. Their cousins Abby, Kaiya and Kinley stopped by for a few hours to visit all the way from Maryland!

Later that day we went to Chuck E Cheese. Allie got sick that night.

Friday she was feeling better but we took it easy. Rested all morning and then that afternoon we went and saw The Croods while Blake got to hang out with his GG.

Saturday was our family Easter Egg Hunt/Get Together. That will be it's own post. But, Blake got sick later that afternoon and he probably had it the worst of all three of them. He had a temp around 102 and still today he isn't feeling all that well. We didn't get it to break until just a few hours ago on Sunday evening! He was so clingy, burning up, red, and just didn't look good. I hope he's better tomorrow!
