Farmer Fred's & Winter Wonderland

The kids didn't have school on Friday (teacher records preparation day) so I pulled up a few places up on the Internet and let them choose where we would go play for the day. They chose a fun indoor play place up in Heacham called Farmer Fred's. I'm not usually a fan of these kind of places because it's germ central but this place looked really nice and clean.

And it was fun and not overly crowded.

On Saturday, Lakenheath was hosting a Winter Wonderland event. Free food, entertainment and fun for all! It was actually a lot of fun for the kids. They didn't want to leave. We got there at the right time (when it first started) and it wasn't too crowded and we beat the rain and hail that came pouring down a couple hours after we left!

Birthday Parties & Random Photos

It seems like we are going to a birthday party every weekend. I don't take a lot of pictures usually. I happened to take some at one of the last ones we went to. It was at a HUGE indoor play place/skating rink. The place was SO crazy busy. So busy that Blake and Avery ended up getting in for free because they didn't want to mess with us holding up the lines to pay for them!

Here is Allie and her friend at the skating rink

At seems like one of these two always end up on the floor next to our bed every morning. This day, it was both of them!

Family Game Night

One night Derek came home from work with a package. He was trying to keep me from seeing what was in it. He finally showed me after the kids had gone to bed. It was a Lego Castle set that he had always wanted as a kid. Legos are being sold much cheaper on ebay here than they are in the states. I foresee a lot of Legos in our future! Anyway, the girls got a couple small sets of the Lego Friends for Christmas and they loved putting them together and got them excited about Legos again. When they saw Derek's castle set they were in awe! It is pretty neat, I must say.

Blake likes to play behind our long curtains sometimes....

This girl is looking so grown up. All of the kids are actually. I wish they would stop! This is Avery's "rubbing it in" pose because she was dressed up this day (meaning not wearing jeans) and Allie wasn't.

MLK Weekend

**updated with Hamley's pictures

What a wonderful weekend! Derek had Friday off (girls still had school) so I had a day with just my boys! We went out for breakfast and went bowling.......5 games! I felt like my arm was going to fall off afterwards. It had been such a long time since we had been bowling. Derek won 3 games, me 2. When the girls got home we went for a walk/bike ride before it got too dark.

I am proud to say that Allie can officially ride with NO training wheels!!!! (and Avery is soooo close!)

Then we came back home for dinner, hot chocolate, popcorn and movie night!! We were originally going to go to the school's movie night but we were all so cold and worn out from the bike ride that we decided to stay in. We watched Frozen and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2.

Then since Derek was off for MLK day and the kids were out of school we decided to explore a new part of London for the rest of the weekend!!

Covent Garden & Soho Areas for the 1st day

M&M World

I don't know what it is but the M&M's taste soooo good here! I'm not a fan of plain M&M's but I loved these!

Picadilly Circus (like the Times Square of London)

Our next stop ended up being the kids favorite stop of the whole trip, Hamley's Toy Store -- 5 stories of fun!

The next day we explored a little bit of the Brompton & South Kensington Areas of London. I really wanted to at least walk by Harrods to see what all the fuss was about.

South Kensington has a lot of the free museums ( National History, Science, Victoria & Albert). We intended on going to at least the National History & Science museums. We went to the National History museum first and were spent after that so we'll have to get to the others another time.

On our way back to the tube and the entire way back to the car (which was a good 30 min or more on the tube) Blake slept like this..
