Stewart Beach / Galveston Island, Kemah Boardwalk and the Aquarium

Saturday was spent at the beach. The weather was perfect! It was a great day.

I know it's an overload of pictures. I just couldn't narrow them down so most of them made the blog! There are a lot of Blake. I figure it's justified because it's his first trip to the beach, I missed his 13 month update.....and he's just so dang handsome!

After the beach we went back to the hotel to clean up and then we spent the evening at Kemah Boardwalk and ate at the Aquarium.

Houston Children's Museum

Three reasons we took the kids out of school Friday.
1) Spend more time with Mony & Papa
2) Avoid horrific after school/work traffic
3) Enjoy the Children's Museum one more time without a huge crowd

All were a success (except for the Houston traffic but I knew we would hit that). The museum was much bigger than we thought. We didn't even get to see about a third of it, or more,  last time. The kids had a lot of fun.

Mony & Papa Visit AND Daddy's Home!!! ~ October 2012

It's been a while since I've posted on here! Our lives had been pretty routine. Nothing too exciting to really blog about. All of a sudden we've been super busy and doing a lot of fun things again. Mony & Papa are visiting right now. They got here last Wednesday. Derek graduated from SOS (Squadron Officer School) on Friday, October 5th. He took off right after graduation and headed this way and we met up with him in the Houston/Galveston, TX area for a little weekend getaway. We're having a lot of fun. Get ready for some picture overload over the course of the next couple of days!!!!

We go to Barnes & Noble Story Time just about every Tuesday. Today was no different. We usually play around the store before/after the story.

Movie Night was a new thing I started up since Derek has been gone. I let the girls stay up late on Friday and/or Saturday and we'll watch a movie. Since I was taking the girls out of school on Friday to go to Houston they begged Mony & Papa to have Movie Night with them Thursday night. It was a good movie. :0)
